Back to the 70's- change of plan

When I was messing on with different designs for my maxi dress i was getting off putted as i thought the legnth of the skirt was more elagant rather than the hippie look i was going for. So iv shorted the legnth of the dress and just started again really with trying different shaps around the neck line and waist, iv uploaded the imaged below

Back to the 70's- developement

Out of the bunch of garments from The Salvation Amry, my eyes got drew sraight towards this white lacey table cloth. I had like a long maxi dress in mind with a detailed fancy halter neck.

Below I have uploaded a few snaps of me messing on with the fabric on the form to create some different neck lines to see what look best with a maxi style neck.

Back to the 70's.

Yaaayyyy! New project finally, and look what trend my group has 70's. Im so pleased with this you can go off in so many different directions from silhouettes, A-line skirts, platforms, even flares to hot pants. Basically the brief cut down into a few sentences; we have been giving 70 like garments donated from The Salvation Army (charity shop) and we have to come up with a collection in our groups. So in this blog im going to be showing you guys the process through to my final design and the groups full collection. So.. hope you enjoy and wish me look.

To start off... RESEARCH!!

Above:This is a mood board created by our tutors. It has gave me so much inspiration, I love the Marc Jacobs seventies spring collection thats by far my favourite. Fabrics, silhouettes, colors, hairstyles, everything was just perfect in my eyes.
